Westwind II

This midsize aircraft first took flight on January 27th, 1963 as the Aero Commander 1121 jet commander. This machine differs from your typical aircraft wing with its positioning mounted halfway up the fuselage instead of your typical low-wing positioning on other aircraft in its class. In light of the terrorist takeover of the Savoy hotel in Tel Aviv in 1976 the Israeli Air Force decided to use the Westwind as their go to patrol aircraft. With the engines located thirteen feet behind the rear cabin bulkhead and the wings being midway up the fuselage it makes for a smooth and quiet ride. With a low loading dock, it is ideal for anyone with mobility issues along with storage for over 1,000 lbs. all while Keeping its range of 2500nautical miles.
